Online Catalogue | FAQ's | Questions About Your Order | When do you despatch the plants?
When do you despatch the plants? We despatch the plants when they are dormant between the first hard autumn frosts (hopefully October) and the plants breaking bud in the spring (usually April - we are high up in the hills, to tend to get a later spring than lower lying areas). We aim to despatch your plants to you as quickly as possible between these times. The contents of your order will normally be despatched to you in one consignment.
Each plant is lifted to order direct from the field throughout the winter months, and in busy times or when the weather is not favourable it can take us a bit longer to despatch your order. If you have a specific delivery date in mind then please let us know and we will endeavour to meet your requirements.
For a rough guide to despatch times, see below. Any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

I ordered my plants between July and October
As all of our plants are bare root, your plants will be despatched once they are dormant in the autumn. We do not ship the items in your order separately - if you would like part of your order sooner then please place separate orders*.
Orders containing Strawberry plants will be despatched first in the autumn.
Orders containing Bushes and canes are despatched next.
Orders containing Autumn Raspberry Canes will be despatched from late November onwards (as they are late fruiters).
(* e.g. if you would like Autumn Raspberry canes and strawberry plants, but would like your strawberry plants in Oct/Nov, please place a separate order for the strawberry plants, otherwise the whole order will be despatched in Nov/Dec).

I ordered my plants between October and Early December
Your plants will be despatched once they are dormant. This is usually from late October onwards for strawberry plants, November onwards for bushes and canes, except Autumn Bliss raspberry canes, which are despatched from late November onwards (as they are late fruiters). We do not ship the items in your order separately - if you would like part of your order sooner then please place separate orders.
This is our busiest time of our year, due to us also despatching the orders placed over the summer. We also have to rely on the weather conditions being favourable. It is not unusual for orders placed in this time to take 1 - 3 weeks to be despatched. However, if you have a specific delivery date in mind then please let us know and we will endeavour to meet your requirements. If you order your plants in December and would like them before Christmas, please let us know.

I ordered my plants between Mid December February
If you ordered strawberry plants, they will usually be despatched in February, as it is not recommended to lift strawberry plants in the colder January weather. Bushes and canes will be despatched as soon as the weather is suitable in January. We do not ship the items in your order separately - if you would like part of your order sooner then please place separate orders.
