Who are Welsh Fruit Stocks?

Welsh Fruit Stocks are a family run business, based in Mid Wales. The business originated from SM & ME Joyce, Sian's parents, who started growing blackcurrant bushes in the 1960's. The business expanded into other types of soft fruit plants, and began supplying gardeners in the autumn of 1990. Sian and Nigel Fromant took over the business from Sian's parents in 1991 when they changed the trading name to Welsh Fruit Stocks. They have also been joined by their eldest daughter Jess, who helps in the office and outside in the fields.

We specialise in selling top quality soft fruit plants direct to gardeners, commercial growers, and garden centres across the country, via mail order. Many of our stocks are organic, and we employ a mainly local workforce to help us care for the plants and to ship them to our customers. The plants are grown in our fields and cared for by Nigel and our dedicated team of workers. Sian and Jess take care of the customers and organise the orders, and do all the administration that comes with running a working farm!
